This painting is derived from 2 photos, the boy with the toy handgrenade comes from a photo of the New York photographer Diane Arbus. The billboard in the background comes from a photo made by the American photographer Margaret Bourke-White. I gave the boy a "Trumpian" haircut, it has become a kind of visual commentary on the current political "climate" in the USA and the rest of the world!
