Two-dimensional | Painting | Acrylic | on panel

This is originally a photo again, it is actually a so-called "still image" from a documentary made in May 1940. The weeping man (Jérome Barzotti) and the other people were standing along the road in Marseille while the French troops were on their way to the port to embark for North-Africa, fleeing from the nazi's! It is a strong and iconic image of the effects and influence of war on (ordinary) people.
